Record Breaking Weekend for CVMS Sport

Message from the PE Department:

This weekend saw records broken for Vaughan Sport. Firstly, 17 CVMS teams played in a competitive fixture over the weekend, the most fixtures in one weekend ever for the school. Secondly, these fixtures saw 191 Lower School pupils representing the school competitively, another record in terms of participation in one weekend. Well done to these pupils who represented the Vaughan in football fixtures with Emanuel School, with victories for the 1st XI and 2nd XI, and a thrilling draw for the U13A Team

A special congratulatory mention to the 80 First Form pupils (pictured below) who represented our school so well on Friday 2 February in eight football fixtures with Hampton School. All the pupils should be very proud of their efforts but a special mention to the U12A Team who excelled on only their third occasion of playing together as a team playing against one of the best footballing schools in the country. As a result of two goals from Christiano S and some tireless performances from the midfielders and resolute defending, the U12A Team defeated Hampton School 2-1 which is a very impressive result.

As this half-term draws to a close, good luck to the pupils participating in the U18 County Cup Quarter Finals on Tuesday and the London Schools Cross-Country on Wednesday. Finally, thank you to the members of staff, pupils and their parents for their hard work and dedication this half-term as their efforts continue to ensure that our pupils have a wide range of opportunities available to them.
