As boys move up the School they have the opportunity to focus on the subjects that appeal to them most whilst also developing their knowledge and understanding of the core curriculum essential to all. Boys at the Vaughan take between 10 and 13 GCSE subjects.

During their GCSE years all boys study the following subjects:

  • English Literature
  • Mathematics
  • Core Science
  • Additional Science
  • ICT
  • Games
  • Citizenship Work Related Learning

In addition they may also choose four of the following courses to follow.

  • AGCSE Engineering (equivalent to two GCSEs)

  • Greek (only available to those studying Latin)

  • Physical Education (GCSE)

Statistics (only available to those studying Mathematics in the top set)
