CVMS Ranks High in Sutton Trust Tables

Academic Event

Cardinal Vaughan has performed extremely well in the recently published Sutton Trust tables, which assess schools' success in securing entry for pupils to Britain's top universities.  For example, in terms of the percentage of  university applicants accepted at Oxbridge, with 5.5% we rank twelfth among all comprehensive schools in the country.

The statistics also reveal how well pupils at Cardinal Vaughan perform in obtaining places at the best universities in the country - the Sutton Trust 30 - which includes not only Oxford and Cambridge,  but  also many prestigious institutions such as Durham, Edinburgh, Imperial College, LSE, St Andrew's, Warwick, York and so on.  Impressively, with nearly 70% of Sixth Formers successfully obtaining places at these elite universities, Cardinal Vaughan is ranked fifth among all national comprehensives and is the top Catholic school.
