Ukraine Appeal for Orphans

We are so pleased to be able to support the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB) with their current crisis appeal for orphaned children in Ukraine. We are asking the Cardinal Vaughan community to help us contribute to a total of 150 backpacks that are to be sent to an orphanage in Dolyna (ages 6-18) in Western Ukraine.  

The AUGB are looking for donations of a backpack containing the following:

- Toothbrush

- Toothpaste

- Comb

- Hair brush 

- Flannel / face cloth 

- Small hand towel 

- Bar of Hypoallergenic soap

- Plastic Soap dish  

- Colouring book

- Crayons and washable marker pens

- Blank notebook

- Individual drinking water bottle (that the children could refill during their journey)

- Toilet roll, also to use for tissues.

Contents are the same for all children and please try to include every item where possible. Please do not include extra gifts or toys as these backpacks need to be kept light to travel with the children. 

If you are able to contribute a backpack containing these items, please drop it off at the school reception by end of the day on Friday 13th May. Cardinal Vaughan and the AUGB thank you in advance for your donations.
