Vaughan Parents Association Race Night
Our first Vaughan Parents Association event of the new school year will be on Saturday 16 November at 7.00 pm. Join us for a Race Night in the school hall with 8 Races over the evening and of course Mr Stubbings' now legendary paper aeroplane competition!
Pizza will be served, along with moussaka and spanakopita (kindly provided by a current parent) and is included in the ticket price and a well-stocked bar will be available. All parents and pupils are welcome and tickets are now on sale via ParentPay– Adults £10 Pupils £7.50.
We would love you to buy a horse in 7 of the races - £10 per horse – just fill in the details on ParentPay – Family Name and Horse Name and we will put you in the race for a chance to win some cash ! We will be auctioning horses for the 8th and last race of the evening.
In addition, you can sponsor a Race for £25 – again just fill in the details on ParentPay – all the details will be included in our programme for the evening. Of course, there is also a chance to bet on horses on the evening and cheer them on to victory!
You will be able to place bets on the evening at our Tote managed brilliantly by our Sixth Formers and cheer on your horse.
Please note that this is a ‘cash only' event. We will have payment machines on the bar but the tote/betting will be all cash.
All funds raised will go towards our Pupil Support Fund, so please do consider sponsoring or buying a horse even if you cannot attend on the event.
The Race Night is a wonderful opportunity for our new pupils and their parents to meet up for a fun evening, so please do join us and share the invite with your fellow parents and classmates.
To support the evening we are looking for 5 more parents to help with the Refreshments and Bar and work alongside our eager team of organisers – please email us at carpmaela@cvms.co.uk and we will contact you with the arrangements. We also have our Sixth Form pupils who help with the evening as well.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
Best wishes,
Vaughan Parents Association
