A-Level Results 2024: Another Year of Academic Excellence at Cardinal Vaughan

Published Thursday 15 August 2024

We are thrilled to announce the outstanding A-Level & BTEC results achieved by our pupils this year. The Class of 2024 has once again demonstrated exceptional dedication and academic excellence, securing impressive results across a wide range of subjects.

This year, 45.4% of grades were A* & A, compared to a national average of 27.8%. This is a testament to the pupils' hard work and the high standards of teaching at Cardinal Vaughan. Additionally, 75.2% of grades were A* to B, over 20% higher than the national average.

On top of this, 26% of pupils achieved three A grades or higher, reflecting their extraordinary commitment and passion for their studies.

Of those who have applied for a place at university, the vast majority of our pupils attained offers to their first choice universities. Furthermore, 12 pupils achieved their required grades to take up places at Oxford and Cambridge. We were delighted that Francesca Knoop and Anabelle Giles won Choral Scholarships to Oxford and Oliver Martin was one of the top performers across the country in OCR's English Literature examination.

Headmaster, Paul Stubbings, commented: "These results are a testament to the hard work and determination of our pupils, as well as the unwavering support from our dedicated staff and the wider school community. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our pupils and wish them all the best as they take their next steps. Well done to them all."

Congratulations again to all those involved in our successful results today! Enjoy the rest of the summer.

Final University destinations will be published later in September.
