CVMS teacher celebrates diversity in piece for The Tablet
Ms Openibo, SENCo, has written a piece for the latest edition of international Catholic Magazine The Tablet in which she celebrates the diversity of the Vaughan and explains how shared Catholic values bind the school together.
Following soon after Vaughan Sixth Formers guest-edited the youth edition of The Tablet earlier this year, Ms Openibo’s piece also recounts her journey to becoming a teacher at the Vaughan, which began teaching French in a Catholic primary school in Lagos, Nigeria.
Referring to the holistic education experience provided by the Vaughan, she writes: “Teachers are equipped to fulfill the school motto, Amare et Servire, “to love and to serve.” We aim to ensure that every child of every ethnic and heritage and educational need becomes a “whole person”.”
