Remembrance: An Assembly by 4M

Published Monday 18 November

To mark Remembrance Day, our Fourth Form pupils in 4M delivered an assembly to the First, Second, and Fourth Forms, themed around Remembrance.

In pairs, pupils spoke about the ways that death is memorialised around the world from the Poppy Appeal to remember the Armed Forces in both World Wars and other conflicts, to the Japanese tradition Obon, where lanterns are used to honour their ancestors' spirits, to the Mexican tradition Día de los Muertos or 'Day of the Dead'.

Pupils then led the assembly in a moment of reflection and collective prayer for our community. Well done to our pupils who delivered this assembly in an informative, sensitive, and respectful way.
