The Old Vaughanians Football Club
The Old Vaughanians Football Club (OVFC) has been established for over 50 years and our links to the school are as important now as they have always been. Recently we established ourselves as one of the Associations under the overall control of the Vaughan Foundation. Although we are still an independent Club, we now have the support of the Foundation and the School in all our activities. These include the annual OVFC vs The School football matches and the 6-a-side Tournament held at the Twickenham playing fields each July.
OVFC has three sides with a range of abilities that play on Saturday afternoons in the Amateur Football Combination (one of the biggest adult football leagues in Europe). The First XI plays at a high standard whereas the Thirds are more of a social side. Our Vets team (over 35’s) sometimes plays on Sunday mornings. There is a game for everyone and while you do need to have an association with the Vaughan to play for us, we actively encourage past and present Vaughan pupils, parents and teachers to join our team and reconnect with the School.
We believe we have the three finest playing pitches in the Combination - one in Twickenham (the school’s ancestral sporting home), one in Acton and the third in Brentford. Our hospitality venue at The Park Club in Acton is also of the highest quality.
