Volunteering is an excellent way to support the school. We are hugely grateful to those who are able to volunteer their time to the Vaughan in some way. There are more details about ways you can help below, whilst we also welcome ideas and offers to help in other areas of school life.
Promote Love & Service
Our Love and Service Fund is vital in enabling the Vaughan to continue to provide the exceptional education it has always offered pupils, regardless of their background. For anyone already involved in giving to the fund, we would appreciate your help talking to parents and other community members and answering any questions they have. You may like to become an ambassador for the fund, talk to a group of parents about why you have chosen to give, or host a table at one of our parents evenings to help answer questions.
Assist at Events
The Vaughan runs a variety of events throughout the year for its community. These range from Vaughan Foundation and Parents Association events to music concerts and alumni reunions. Help is always welcome at all of these occasions.
We would also love to hear from anyone whose company or business could provide event sponsorship or an auction prize.
Help with Careers
There are lots of way you can assist pupils and our alumni in terms of careers support. Members of our school community regularly come to talk at assemblies, speak to pupils during careers week, and get involved in careers events. We would love you to get involved no matter what your industry or the stage of your career you are at.
Members of our alumni community are recommended to join our dedicated alumni site Vaughan Connected. The site provides opportunities for networking and offering support to other alumni. On signing up, you will also be asked to indicate what ways you would be happy to assist with offering careers advice to others.
Become an Alumni Rep
In order to enhance our alumni community we are on the look-out for representatives. Year group representatives can help us reach out to those in their year and help them reconnect with the school; they can also provide assistance planning events such as Old Vaughanian reunions.
As our network grows, we are also looking for city, county and overseas reps for the network. These members will help run a programme of events in their areas and reach out to alumni in their area.
