CNN Vatican Correspondent talk to the Sixth Form

Christopher Lamb, CNN Vatican Correspondent, spoke to the Sixth Form on Thursday. He discussed his experience reporting on the Conclave and the election of Pope Leo XIV in May last year, and gave insight into the events surrounding the death of Pope Francis and the mechanics of the subsequent gathering of Cardinals.

It was particularly interesting to hear a comparison between the real events and the 2024 film dramatisation, and Christopher shared clips from his own reporting. He also spoke briefly about his journey to becoming CNN’s Vatican Correspondent. Afterwards, many pupils spoke with him, asking questions about journalism and the Vatican.
