Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School Holds Mock Elections 2024

This morning, nine Sixth Form pupils from Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School held a mock election debate with pupils taking on candidate roles from each major UK party and presenting their key manifesto pledges in a Lower School assembly.

The exercise is designed to encourage our pupils to engage in politics and provide a practical experience of voting so that they are informed, engaged, and responsible.

From tomorrow morning, pupils in the First to Fourth Form will cast their votes for their chosen party candidates.

Well done to our Sixth Formers who prepared speeches and spoke in the assembly. Thank you to Mr Mooney, Head of Upper Sixth and Teacher of History & Politics, for organising the mock election.
