Drawing New Maps of Hope

To mark the 60th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council’s Declaration on the vital importance of education in human life, Pope Leo has written an Apostolic Letter entitled Drawing New Maps of Hope. Cardinal Nichols has provided an excellent short summary of its key themes, which I encourage you to read.

It offers a thoughtful reflection on the purpose of education within a Catholic setting – one that so clearly echoes our own values and approach as a school community. It reminds us that education is not only about knowledge and skills but also about nurturing each child as a unique individual, created in the image of God.
