Fourth Form Pupil +1 Golf Handicap

Fourth Form pupil, Thomas K, has improved his golfing handicap and now plays off +1 (below scratch) and for his age is one of best in the country. Thomas will be entering into some high profile age appropriate tournaments that are recognised by England. These tournaments will give Thomas the opportunity to show off his capabilities and build a portfolio of high profile competitions with the ambition of being selected to play for the England under 18 team at some point in the future.

Mr Murphy, Head of Physical Education, comments: "Thomas has progressed a huge amount over the past 12 months, evident from his handicap numbers reducing so much. Golf is a sport that you need to dedicate a lot of time to in order to see improvements, so Thomas' commitment to training and improving must be commended. We are looking forward to seeing his performances this summer in his pursuit of national selection in the coming years."
