Fourth Form Pupil Performs with Bradley Cooper & the New York Philharmonic
During the half term, Fourth Form pupil, Malakai B, performed at the David Geffen Hall in New York with Bradley Cooper, actor & producer, and the New York Philharmonic as part of Orchestrating Maestro: Music and Conversation.
The concert is a live performance of the score of the Maestro film, the biopic of Leonard Bernstein that is now available on Netflix, the soundtrack of which features Malakai’s singing at several key moments.
Malakai received special mentions in Vogue magazine, Vanity Fair and the Washington Post amongst many others!
Here he is photographed at the rehearsals with conductor, Yannick Nézet-Séguin and fellow soloists, Sam Oladeinde and Philip Sheffield. As well as backstage with producer and star, Bradley Cooper, Leonard Bernstein's children, and director, Spike Lee.
Congratulations, Malakai!
