National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships

Huge congratulations to the CVMS Rowing squad who competed in the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships at the Copper Box Olympic Stadium on Friday. Special mention to Vwaire Obukohwo who stormed to first place in the Year 13 Girls event to be awarded a gold medal and named National Champion.

The mixed Lower and Upper Sixth Form group were joined by one Second Form boy, Jamie Smith, who did remarkably well coming 11th place out 172 competitors. Aiden Pierre also came an impressive fifth place in the Year 12 Boys event, while in the Boat Race Boys Relay the team narrowly missed out on a medal coming a fantastic fourth place with a distance of 5484m.
