SJSCAT Fundraising Event – Supporting Priestly Vocations

Dear Families,

The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School is part of a unique Catholic Academy Trust— St. John Southworth Catholic Academy Trust—a group of schools working hand in hand to provide the best possible education for our pupils, both academically and in nurturing and developing their faith. We are a community grounded in love and guided by our core values: Dignity, Service, and Perseverance.

During our recent Pupil Chaplains Retreat Day in May, young chaplains were invited to organise a SJSCAT-wide Fundraising Event, embodying the SJSCAT motto: "Omnia in Uno" – Everything in One. Together and unique.

Once again this year, we will be supporting the Priests Training Fund of Westminster. This cause is especially meaningful, as we walk in the footsteps of St. John Southworth, known as “the priest of Westminster.”

As you may know, deacon and priestly ordinations take place each June at Westminster Cathedral, where the remains of our patron saint lie in the centre of the nave. The SJSCAT collection will be presented during the Academy Trust Foundation Day Mass on June 26th. The clergy are always deeply moved by the generosity and thoughtfulness shown by SJSCAT schools united in support of priestly vocations.

I warmly invite you to take part once again by contributing through this link. By supporting this fundraising event, you are putting into action what it means to be the living Body of Christ. I trust that your generosity will bring many blessings to your life.

I sincerely thank you for your continued support. Let us pray for our priests who bring us Jesus in the sacraments, and for new vocations within the SJSCAT.

God bless,
Caroline Moulinet, SJSCAT Lay Chaplain
