State Minister Visits Aspiring Teachers in Training

We were delighted to welcome Catherine McKinnell, Minister of State (Minister for School Standards) to The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School to talk to those students who are taking part in the SJSERA Summer Teaching Internship Programme this year. 

Catherine, who was joined by Sue Lovelock, Director at Schools Group, Sarah Bastan-Hagh, Head of Explore Teaching at Get Into Teaching, and Joe Powell, MP for Kensington and Bayswater, began their visit by observing a lesson delivered by our interns and were then invited to a discussion group with eleven interns to discuss how they have found their time on the programme and their aspirations to teach.
