We are delighted to announce that Vaughan pupil, Angelo N, has achieved an outstanding result at the London Youth Games, winning a silver medal in the 50m Freestyle U17s swimming competition. The London Youth Games is one of the largest and most inclusive youth sports events in Europe, bringing together young athletes from across the capital to compete at the highest level.
Angelo, aged 16, has been training for the event whilst studying for his GCSEs at Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School, which he sat earlier this year. He commented: "This achievement has been a highlight for me during this time, and I am grateful for the encouragement I received from the school, which helped me balance both academics and sports."
We are incredibly proud of Angelo for his hard work and dedication to studying for his exams and training for this prestigious event. His success is a testament to the determination of our pupils, both in the classroom and in their extracurricular pursuits.
Congratulations, Angelo!
