Giving Day 2023

We are delighted to announce that the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School’s Giving Day will return later this month on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 September. We held our first Giving Day in 2022, and we are proud to have been the first state secondary school in the UK to adopt this new approach to fundraising and to host a Giving Day event.

Giving Day provides an opportunity to come together as a community to raise funds for Cardinal Vaughan so we can continue to provide a first-class educational experience for our pupils. All funds raised from the event will be reinvested into the school as part of our Love & Service Fund. From our Lower School to the Sixth Form, the whole school is getting involved!

There will be lots of on-site activities taking place for pupils and staff which we will share next week. You can also follow us on social media for further updates.

Whilst we will be encouraging donations – which can be made via the 'Ways to Give' page - Giving Day is not just about fundraising. Parent participation is critically important and there are many different ways in which you can be involved, including:

• Spreading the word amongst friends, family, and fellow parents
• Follow us on the day, sharing and liking our posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
• Helping us promote the event on social media by liking and sharing posts and using the hashtags #CVMSGivingDay and #LoveandService
• Supporting your child taking part in Giving Day activities at school 
• Participate from home in one of our brilliant Giving Day challenges and unlock our sponsored match funding

Mr Stubbings, Headmaster, commented: “When we introduced our Giving Day last year, we were proud to become the first state school in the country to adopt this innovative new approach to fundraising. We encourage all parents to participate in whatever way they can - even if that’s simply helping to promote the event on social media by liking and sharing posts. As ever, we look forward to seeing the Vaughan community come together to help make this year’s Giving Day a huge success.”
