Amare et Servire: A Second Century of Love and Service
The Vaughan has always been extremely fortunate in its strong culture of philanthropy and generous community who support the school each year. In October 2014, the school launched the most ambitious fundraising campaign in the history of the Vaughan: Amare et Servire: A Second Century of Love and Service to raise funds for large-scale capital projects and essential developments. The response was tremendous, with members from across the Vaughan community challenging themselves personally and stepping forward to make extraordinary commitments.
Thanks to the success of the campaign the school was able to make vital investments across three key priority areas:
PEOPLE (teaching staff) – enabling the professional development of our teachers, providing training for those aspiring to move into more senior positions at the Vaughan and investing in the development of newly qualified teachers.
PROGRAMMES (Catholic ethos) – expanding the opportunities for pupils to live their faith and for us to involve parents in new ways to strengthen the Vaughan’s role as a beacon of Catholic life.
PROJECTS (facilities) – refurbishing major parts of our existing building and developing a new annex to create more classrooms, IT suite, SEN suite and eight brand new Science laboratories.
We are so grateful to our entire community for their ready and enthusiastic support. Now, news on the reduction in our funding means we need more support than ever before. Through the Love and Service Fund, we now hope to raise the necessary additional annual funds to enable the Vaughan to continue providing an exceptional education for those who attend the Vaughan both now and in the future.
