What is Cardinal Vaughan’s Giving Day?

It is a 36-hour focused challenge to bring together pupils, staff, parents, alumni, and Governors, both virtually and physically, to celebrate and fundraise in the spirit of all that is outstanding about Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School. All the money raised will go towards the Love & Service Fund.

Unfortunately, the current education funding crisis continues to threaten schools. Schools have seen an increasing gap between the government funding they receive and the cost to run. 

The Vaughan has always been extremely fortunate in its strong culture of philanthropy and generous community who offer unwavering support to the school each year, notwithstanding the current cost of living crisis. We need to continue to invest in our pupils and our fundraising campaign is key to helping us achieve this. 

 

What is the Love & Service Fund?

The Fund is to help continue to improve provision for our pupils and ensure we can give them the best possible educational and extra-curricular experiences. Through the collective effort of the entire community, we can help to ensure that Cardinal Vaughan continues to be an outstanding school, which offers a fantastic education and opportunities to all pupils, regardless of their background.

 

Where will my donation go?

All donations will go into the Love & Service Fund which will go directly back into the school to support the areas that need it most.

 

How can I get involved?

• Spreading the word amongst friends, family, and fellow parents
• Follow us on the day, sharing and liking our posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
• Helping us promote the event on social media by liking and sharing posts and using the hashtags #CVMSGivingDay and #LoveandService
• Supporting your child taking part in Giving Day activities at school 
• Participate from home in one of our brilliant Giving Day challenges and unlock our sponsored match funding

 

What are we fundraising for?

News on the reduction in our funding means we need more support than ever before. Through the Love & Service Fund, we hope to raise the necessary funds to enable the Vaughan to continue providing an exceptional education for those who attend the Vaughan both now and in the future.

 

Can I choose which area my donation supports?

Your donation will go to the Love & Service Fund for the school.

If you have a particular area of the school you would like to support, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss this further.

 

Is it safe to make my gift online?

Yes, all payments through our website are securely processed by reCAPTCHA. Alternatively, should you prefer to make a cash donation, this can be done via reception. 

All donations will come through our new Foundation (meaning we can also claim gift aid to benefit pupils further).

 

Can I make a recurring gift to Cardinal Vaughan?

This would be wonderful. A regular monthly pledge of a gift to the school is transformative to our fundraising campaign. Click here to set up a regular gift.

 

Is there a minimum donation amount?

There is no minimum amount. We are very grateful to all our donors for supporting Giving Day in any way they can. We value every contribution and thank our community for their support.

 

What if I am unavailable on these dates?

If you are unable to participate on the day, you can still get involved. Please consider donating early using our 'Ways to Give' tab. 

 

Can I see my gift on this website?

All gifts are anonymous for the Giving Day event.
